Indeedy! I agree with you! The inside is a more New Mexican style to it! The food is delicious in my opinion! Glad you ate here!
I'm not sure why Maps marked this as a question...
They call it pasole
Well there are other places to choose from. Personal beefs not to your liking are not constructive to the other menu items that are awesome. Put on your big girl panties and quietly make another choice.
I don't believe so
Local, had a small menu
Hello Jessica! So our employees may spend the day with their families, we will be closed on Christmas Day. So sorry that we may miss you.
Ramona, you probably served my parents, they really enjoyed this place.... Why did it close do you know?
I only ate Mexican food. I believe I had red enchiladas and a relleno. The Blue Moon makes my top ten for enchiladas. I will definitely return.
Great little cafe, menu covers Mexican and American food. Fresh homemade chips and salsa.Chips came to my table warm... yummy.Food was delicious and very filling, in fact so filling there was no room for their delicious looking deserts. Staff was friendly. They also have an area where you can buy gifts.
Food was amazing time served was not so but when the food did get there it was fantastic.
This historical place is a restaurant and a gift shop... If you are passing by the city is a good place to make a quick stop. The food was delicious and service was good.
Wow! What awesomeness. Authentic New Mexican Food. Ask for the smothered chili burrito or enchiladas. BEST food in New Mexico! Well worth the stop.
Great New Mexican Cafe. Ordered combo, pork tamale, chicken enchilada, Chile Relleno. Great & Spicy. Cant wait to return. Also good service, & friendly staff. Nice gift shop. Very fair prices
Very good food. Of course I believe that if you want Mexican food....New Mexico is where to get it. Attentive waitress and interesting stuff to browse through in the shop. Definitely will be back.
Had some delicious food here! Cute, friendly place in a small town off I-66 but BUSY! Serving mostly southwestern food at a reasonable price. I'll go back if I'm ever in the area again!
Authentic, delicious Mexican food. A bit spicy for some and perfect for others. Great salsa, beef tacos & pork stew. Real fresh tortillas!
So good! Staff was great and the food was amazing! Will definitely eat here again the next time we pass though!
Great place, amazing food! I haven't had such tasty Mexicans food ever. Amazing friendly service, just awesome!
I never post bad reviews! Do not eat here during Covid. Staff don’t wear masks, the waitress said it was not mandatory and didn’t seem to care (should have left then) they were using hands to dip into a little bucket to dig for fruit to put on weak margaritas. A big fat guy (might be owner) sneezed out loud in his hands and kept doing what he was doing!! corn chips stale, microwave food. Our waiter was nice enough but for a place that’s been shut down for a while they should be a lot nicer to customers!!! I felt bad and gave a tip but now regret it... keep driving!!!
Nice little place to get a good meal. Friendly people, great service, good food. Has a nice gift shop as well.
Absolutely delicious food, I had the Mexican meal with mushrooms and chicken, chips and salsa were amazing, never tried this type of chips before, they had small bits of corn in them , will stop by everytime I pass by
Excellent food and better service. Love the Guavaritas. Try them
I got to go. This place was recommended by a local. Ordered the enchiladas with blue corn and chicken, smothered in green chili. It was delicious. I would also note that there is a cute gift shop and the staff and customers were adhering to the CDC recommendations. Felt safe to get food (to-go).
Best Mexican food in. Santa Rosa & Service Sandre.
Service was very slow, food was not good, guacamole was days old and brown, worst margarita I’ve ever had, could not even finish it. They forgot to put our appetizer in, when the manager came by he did not apologize but told us we still needed to pay for everything. Everything was extremely expensive, $5 for a corona beer that was warm!?! Very disappointed.
Awesome place. Super friendly staff. The food was amazing. The margaritas were very good.
Excellent food! Excellent service and atmosphere! Very nice gift store. We will come back here again!
Great, delicious food and friendly staff. Gift shop has many interesting books plus great route 66 gift items. Truck parking to the rear and across the street.
Stopped here on my way back home, I ordered the nachos and chicken quesadillas. The beef nachos had under cooked meat on them and tasted like something from the school cafeteria. I know it was late, but I would expect for restaurants to have the same caliber of food from open to close.
Food was okay, service could have been a lot better. Nice gift shop.
Excellent food! And Excellent service! The Best place we went to for good food on our Trip from Nevada to Texas! Seriously, we had the best experience here! Such nice people every one of them.
Stopped there for a T Bone Steak. My husband has been here before and he loved it. When we went back to the truck there was a terrible smell 🤮 the meat was rotton!!! I wonder if the cook didn't smell it cause it was very intense. We got our money back but it has put us off for the day. The waitress was very nice but we will never stop here again.
I had the green chile cheeseburger with a veggie patty. It was just great. Fries were good too. The bummer was no indoor sitting.
Very good gem of a place. American and Mexican choices. Tons of choices in appetizers. Decent wine and beer selection! Give it a try !!
We walked down while the Tesla was charging and had a Monte Cristo that was better-than-expected. They has been closed for a while and we're just getting back in business and the wait staff was very appreciative.
Friendly staff and great food! Awesome little store inside too. Wish I could give 10 stars.
Nice little town. Nice food and great service 🍲😊🤠🕺⛪
The ginger, jalapeno and honey brussel sprouts appetizer was delicious. The chicken and steak fajitas were awesome. They have a gift shop and even serve Starbucks coffee great place excellent food and service worth the stop.
Service and food was excellent. Nice variety on the menu. RV parking is another plus!
This place is over the top good! I wish the servers wore masks though.
Awesome place to find handmade gifts and trinkets!
It's a nice change from truckstop food. I loved the brussel sprouts, but the nachos were a bit dry & we didn't even eat a quarter of them. Salsa was on point. Consider serving more chips. All other food servings were generous. Everything else was okay taste wise. The restaurant could use a few updates even if they want to keep the retro look. The bathroom was clean as far as I could tell, but very dark. Service was okay.
The service was friendly and fast. The Green Chile Enchiladas de Santa Fe were delicious with just the right amount of spice. My husband's Patty Melt with green chile was also delicious. It was served on rye bread with tasty crispy fries. The sweet tea here was not good. It tasted like they poured sugar into the glass after it was brewed. But the unsweetened iced tea was good. My kids gobbled up the fries but barely touched the grilled cheese made with two slices of American cheese.
First time here. I give it 5 Stars. Food was really good, large portioned. Coffee was good, turned out it was Starbucks. Restroom was super clean and updated. The whole inside appeared really clean, neat and not worn. Albuquerque Skillet.
We love stopping here on our way to Red River from Oklahoma City!
Have been here 2 times in the last 5 years. Food is good and I am glad they reopened after the Corona.
We enjoyed every bite. We had the honey ginger Brussels sprouts for an appetizer. He had a sandwich. I had the green chili pork stew. The cheesecake Espanol was amazing. Service was polite but slow.
Stopped here on a Route 66 road trip and loved the Enchiladas de Santa Fe, the green chili sauce was nice and spicy!
Do not stop at this restaurant. I repeat do not stop at this restaurant!!!!! I ordered the chili cheese fries and it was fries with shredded cheese and what looked like some picante sauce. I didn't mind it to much but that's not what I wanted. I also ordered the nacho deluxe and the meat was cold and looked like it came from a can and was microwaved for a few minutes. I took one bite and decided I was not going to eat that. I told them I didn't like it and thought they would offer me something else. They just gave me the check. I told them I was not going to pay for the meal and they called the cops. Never in my ife have I ever been made to pay for a meal I didn't like. And to top everything off waiter was not wearing a mask.
We were hungry after travelling. We ordered enchiladas. We waited 20 minutes and still no food. We got served water and chips. I couldn't rate the food since ii was taking a long time. They weren't that busy. It is a shame since we like route 66. We try to stop there at different restaurants, when traveling. We walked out still hungry. We couldn't get our food on route 66.
Delicious! And the posole was cooked perfectly. We had steak and shrimp fajitas, and the special blue corn chicken enchiladas. Enchiladas served with beans and posole. Fajitas served with fresh guacamole, sour cream and warm flour tortillas. I asked for extra cheese on the side. Meal started with complimentary warm and fresh crispy tortillas and salsa. We inhaled them. It was a busy Monday night there, and server was lovely. Obviously had many tables to take care of at the same time, and had a smile for every customer. I would definitely go back! Overhead that they also serve breakfast.
Traveling across the country, I like to stop at the places on route 66. This was a fun place with great food and friendly staff. I found a few items to bring back home for bragging rights. Worth a stop. Thanks to all.
Worst fijita I've ever had. Over priced but waitress was super sweet.
Delicious food! I’m vegan also and they had great options — may I recommend the chips and salsa along with vegan tamales!
Good food and on Route 66 with a gift shop. What more can ya want?
Definitely a must stop. Mexican food was great. Fast, friendly service. I highly recommend
Atmosphere, service, and food were very good. There's a little gift shop attached with New Mexican souvenirs ranging from cheap kitsch to finely crafted pottery. For the kids, they have a little "treasure chest" out of which each kid can select one little toy. Great road trip stop!
I can't believe I have driven by here for 30 years and never made the opportunity to stop in. Wow! Have I been missing out! Fabulous food, the atmosphere was amazing, the service was on believable. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. My waitress was that good. Such an amazing lady. She took me back in time it seemed, to the real days of trucking when the restaurants were all about quality & customer service. Lots of big truck parking in the back too. When I roll through Santa Rosa now, y'all can find me hanging out here. Just look for my big silver Volvo & ask for "Everywhere".
